Who We Are
A youth-centred media and community mobilisation organisation building Nigeria's information future
DIAF Communication is a Nigerian youth-centred media and community mobilisation organisation with operations across Oyo, Kwara and Osun States. We exist at the crossroads of journalism, civic education, and grassroots development using media as both a mirror for society and a mechanism for change.
Founded with a clear-eyed conviction that young Nigerians deserve both accurate information and active economic participation, DIAF has grown into a multi-platform organisation with subsidiaries in digital news and online television, a portfolio of community outreach programmes, and partnerships with some of Nigeria's most credible civic organisations.
Our work spans information disorder campaigns, gamification-based media literacy programmes, open government advocacy, and large-scale youth mobilisation. Whether we are placing a media literacy game in a secondary school in Saki, running a fact-checking campaign in Osun State, or mobilising thousands of young women for skills training, DIAF operates from a single conviction: informed, mobilised young people build better communities.
In a continent where misinformation spreads faster than verified fact, DIAF Communication exists to close that gap not just in newsrooms, but in communities, schools, and the spaces between.
A Nigeria where every young person has access to accurate information, civic opportunity, and the platform to shape their own future.
To produce credible media content, build media literacy, and mobilise youth communities across Nigeria through innovation, partnership, and grassroots presence.
Accuracy
We commit to verified, factual information in everything we produce.
Inclusion
Every voice matters. We ensure marginalised communities are heard and represented.
Accountability
We hold ourselves and those in power to the highest standards of transparency.
Youth Leadership
Young people are not just our audience — they are our leaders and decision-makers.
Community Ownership
Lasting change comes from communities owning their narrative and their future.
DIAF Communication grew out of a recognition that Nigeria's information environment particularly for young people in Oyo, Kwara and Osun States was fragmented, unreliable, and disconnected from community realities. We started not as a broadcaster or a development organisation, but as a mobiliser: a team that believed the gap between knowing and doing could be closed through media, trusted relationships, and creative engagement.
Over the years we built our institutional footprint through partnerships with national civic organisations, university student networks, NYSC structures, market women associations, and political party women's wings. Our gamification projects brought media literacy into secondary school classrooms. Our information disorder campaigns run in collaboration with Fact-Check Africa took verified information directly into communities where rumour and manipulation thrive.
Today, DIAF Communication operates KorrectNews and Korrect TV, runs community mobilisation programmes across eight towns in Osun State, and maintains active civic partnerships with NYFF, Fact-Check Africa, and Brain Builders Youth Development Initiative.
